Test Lab Engineer - SkillBridge

The Test Lab Engineer SkillBridge Intern will support a large-scale development and testing lab environment used for Aruba switch products and related infrastructure. This role is highly hands-on and focuses on maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting lab systems that support both manual and automated testing teams. 

The engineer will help install, rack, wire, configure, and operate networking devices, servers, virtual machines, and related lab infrastructure. This includes responding to daily lab setup requests, troubleshooting hardware and connectivity issues, supporting test environments, and helping ensure equipment is properly maintained and ready for use. 

This position is part of a SkillBridge internship program and is designed to provide practical technical experience, training, and mentorship in a real-world networking and infrastructure lab environment. The role will involve collaboration with onsite, hybrid, remote, and global teams.

Requirements

- Hands-on experience with Linux, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux or similar distributions 

- Familiarity with VMware or other virtualization technologies 

- Strong networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, switching, basic routing concepts, and the OSI model - Experience troubleshooting hardware, servers, networking equipment, or lab infrastructure 

- Comfortable with racking, stacking, cabling, and maintaining physical IT or networking equipment 

- Ability to configure and support test setups based on incoming requests 

- Willingness to work in a hands-on lab environment with a mix of networking, server, and virtualized infrastructure 

- Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to research, diagnose, and resolve technical issues 

- Ability to collaborate with technical teams across onsite, hybrid, remote, and global environments

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow organizational policies, lab procedures, and operational standards
